Arsheefi — Privacy Policy

Arsheefi (“the app”, “we”) is a personal bookmarking app that lets you save links and screenshots and organize them into collections. Arsheefi is built to be private by default: your saved content stays on your device. This policy explains, in plain terms, what that means.

What we collect

Nothing. Arsheefi has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers that we operate. We do not collect, transmit to ourselves, or store any of your personal information. We do not use advertising or analytics services.

What is stored on your device

The things you save and create live only in the app’s private storage on your phone:

• The links and screenshots you save, plus any title, description, or tags.
• Your collections and which saves belong to them.
• Reminders you set and your app settings (such as theme).

Uninstalling Arsheefi, or clearing its data in your phone’s settings, permanently removes all of this from your device.

Link previews (internet use)

When you save a link, Arsheefi fetches a preview (a thumbnail image and title) by requesting the public preview information directly from the platform that hosts that link — for example YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, or Anghami. This is similar to what happens when you open the link in a browser: the app sends that link’s address to the source platform to retrieve its public preview, and downloads the preview image to your device. These requests use a secure (HTTPS) connection. We do not operate a server, so this information is never sent to us and is not stored anywhere except on your own device.

Screenshots & text recognition

If you save a screenshot, Arsheefi may read the text in it to make it searchable. This text recognition runs entirely on your device (using Google’s on-device ML Kit). Your images and the recognized text never leave your device.

Backups you create

Arsheefi lets you export your library to a single file that you can save wherever you choose (for example Google Drive or your Downloads folder) and import on another device. These backups are created and controlled entirely by you. We do not have access to them, and they are not sent to us.

Notifications

With your permission, Arsheefi sends you reminders and periodic “rediscovery” notifications about your own saved content. These are generated on your device.

Permissions

• Internet — to fetch link previews as described above.
• Notifications — to send you reminders and recaps (you can decline or turn these off).

Children

Arsheefi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
